Schuh, Dorothy Margaret (Marriage - 26 June 1934)

A very pretty double ring wedding ceremony took place at the St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday morning, June 26th, at nine o’clock, Rev. Leo J. Lang reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Dorothy Margaret Schuh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schuh, became the bride of Mr. Leo P. Biel of Stanley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Biel, Sr., of Athens. Miss Eunice Schuh, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and Mrs. Clarence Strade, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Aloyious Biel, and Clarence Strade. Cousins of the bride, little Marie Schuh and May Beyerl, dressed in white organdy, carried baskets of mixed flowers.

The bride was beautifully dressed in pale pink net over taffeta with pattern hat and slippers to match. Her shower bouquet consisted of roses, carnations, baby breath and sweet peas. The maid of honor wore a dress of canary yellow organdy with accessories. Her shoulder bouquet consisted of tea roses, carnations and sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a dress of light blue organdy with white accessories and her shoulder bouquet consisted of roses, carnations and sweet peas.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with white, pink, blue and yellow streamers and June roses for the occasion. Covers were laid for fifty immediate relatives and friends. A free wedding dance was given at Stanley in the evening and was largely attended by friends and relatives.

The out of town guests were Frank Biel, Jr., and Rose Hoffman of Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Biel, Sr., and family of Athens and Mrs. Ed. Schuh and daughter, Eunice, of Kirkland.

The young couple will make a wedding trip to the Yellowstone National Park and will be at home at Stanley after July 20 where the groom is employed as a cheesemaker.
